BA Online Course
Online Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an online undergraduate degree in arts and humanities. This online degree allows students to pursue higher education in arts and humanities from the comfort of their homes without having to attend regular classes in educational institutions. This online degree program is meant for those students who are already employed or are taking care of their families and want to pursue higher education without having to compromise on their commitments. The online degree program helps students develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
BA Online Course Overview
An Online BA degree provides a well-rounded education in the liberal arts, humanities, and social sciences. The primary goal of such an online degree is to enhance students’ knowledge of human culture, communication, and society. Online education is typically delivered through a Learning Management System (LMS), where students can view course content, video lectures, and other learning materials. Instructors deliver lectures either live or pre-recorded, enabling students to learn at their own convenience.
The courses may include topics such as History, English Literature, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Economics, and other electives. Evaluation of students may include online quizzes, written assignments, projects, and participation in online discussions. Students can communicate with instructors and other classmates via online forums, virtual classrooms, and emails.
One of the most attractive aspects of an Online BA is its flexibility. Students can organize their study time according to their needs and preferences, study from anywhere with internet access, and even opt for part-time study. If accredited by reputable institutions or organizations, the Online BA will have the same academic validity as a conventional degree. Students can further their education, secure better job opportunities, or enter public service careers based on their specializations and interests.
BA Online Course Eligibility & Duration
For applying to an Online BA course, the candidate must have finished their higher secondary education (10+2 or equivalent) from a recognized board or institution. The minimum aggregate percentage requirement, as stated by most universities, is 45% to 50%. However, this criterion may differ from university to university. Most online BA courses do not demand any work experience or national entrance exams. The requirements are set by the policies of each university.
The typical duration of an Online BA course is 3 years, consisting of 6 semesters. But most online universities allow flexible completion periods, which give students the option to complete their course in 5 or 6 years, if required. This is quite beneficial for working professionals or students who may need more time to manage their other responsibilities along with studies.
